'Theatre 6 create elegant, visual productions; revive modern classics, forge new adaptations and develop bold work from new writers.'
Theatre 6 is made up of six young and talented theatre professionals driven to carry a passionate and united vision of theatre making into London, the rest of the UK and internationally.
Our first season was received with great acclaim, starting off with a stage reading of bestselling international novelist Elizabeth Cooke's first play, We Are Gods. In March we opened the world premiere of Dostoevsky's The Double which ran for four weeks at The White Bear Theatre. The production was beautifully adapted for 6 actors and 4 actor musicians by our Artistic Director Kate McGregor and composer Maria Haik Escudero. Our second project was the London revival of Durangs famous comedy Beyond Therapy which ran for three weeks at the Hen and Chickens Theatre in Islington. In July and August our season was completed with The Best of Festivals event, showing the best new theatre from across the UK over two weeks at The Waterloo East Theatre in central London.
As a young and vibrant theatre company we enthusiastically invite you to join us in 2010 and beyond; enjoy our productions and pass on the word about Theatre 6 to your friends, family and colleagues. We look forward to meeting you very soon.
